Heart defibrillators available for emergency public use in the case of cardiac arrest are available in several locations in the Usk area, including The Three Salmons Hotel Usk (24 hour access), Usk Centenary Scout Hut (24 hour access) Usk Primary School (school hours only), Usk Rugby Club, Little Mill Village Hal, MCC Offices at The Rhadyr Usk, and the Old dis-used phone box in Llandenny Village.
When a 999-call is made to the Welsh Ambulance Service to attend a cardiac arrest, the service can tell you the location of the nearest defibrillator. You can then use the defibrillator to try and resuscitate the patient whilst the ambulance service vehicle is making its way to the call.
