Ground Works at Lower Common Glascoed

Ground works are scheduled to start this week at Lower Common in Glasoed. The work will see the overgrowth on the common cleared back to the common's boundaries. The common will be cut to improve access and use of the common.

The work is due to be carried out by the contractors of the Glascoed Hwb. This is following an unsuccessful agreement with MCC to have work carried out including cut and collect. Unfortunately this was not completed.

We expect minor disruption and mess to be caused, particularly with the adverse weather but have opted to make an early start on the common this year to give us enough time as possible to make further improvements.
