Ann moved to Usk from her family’s farm in Cambridgeshire in 1982 to work for Gwent Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs.  She married into a local farming family and has lived and farmed with her family in Llanbadoc ever since.

After having her three children, Ann retrained and for several years taught office practice and IT.  She then went on to work for ten years in customer support and training with a local farm software company.  Now she is kept busy at home supporting her husband, Nigel, on the farm and running their holiday cottage.

When her children were young, Ann helped at Usk Community Playgroup and went onto be chairman of the management committee.  She has also been involved with Usk Show for many years, having been both General Secretary and Agricultural Section Secretary and more recently, Chairman of Usk Farmers’ Club who run the Show.
